Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional tour representative and transferred to your hotel in Kigali. After check-in, you will receive a briefing about your upcoming safari and an introduction to Rwanda, known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or enjoy a short city tour of Kigali. Overnight stay in Kigali.

After breakfast, depart Kigali and journey south through Rwanda's scenic countryside towards Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa's oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. Along the way, enjoy cultural and historical stopovers, including a visit to the King's Palace Museum in Nyanza, the former residence of Rwanda's traditional monarchs, and the Ethnographic Museum in Huye (formerly Butare), home to one of East Africa's finest cultural collections.

Rise early and enjoy a light breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced guides. Embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience as you venture through the forest in search of these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Rise early for breakfast before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration, a briefing by park rangers, and allocation to a gorilla family group.

Following the briefing, set off into the lush forests of Volcanoes National Park accompanied by experienced ranger guides. The trek may take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. As you hike through bamboo forests, volcanic slopes, and dense vegetation, you will have opportunities to observe the park's rich biodiversity and spectacular scenery.

After breakfast, depart Volcanoes National Park and travel back to Kigali, Rwanda's vibrant capital city. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief city tour that offers insight into Rwanda's remarkable history, culture, and transformation. Highlights may include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an important site dedicated to remembrance, education, and reconciliation.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing eastward to Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah park and home to the country's Big Five wildlife. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or safari camp and take some time to relax before embarking on an evening game drive.

As the sun begins to set over the plains, explore the park's diverse ecosystems in search of wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with some luck, lions and other predators. The evening game drive offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography in the beautiful golden light of the African savannah.

Begin your final day in Rwanda with an early morning game drive through the diverse landscapes of Akagera National Park. Accompanied by an experienced ranger guide, explore the park's savannah plains, woodlands, and wetlands in search of some of Africa's most iconic wildlife. Depending on the day's sightings, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, leopards, and a variety of bird species.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax before enjoying a scenic boat cruise on Lake Ihema. The cruise offers excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and other aquatic wildlife while taking in the beauty of Akagera's tranquil wetlands.

Following lunch, check out and begin your return journey to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through Rwanda's diverse landscapes, rich culture, and extraordinary wildlife.
